Analysis:
With starting goalie Corey Crawford returning last night from a foot injury, it was expected that Raanta would get the start. Raanta could continue to get one of the back-to-back scenario as the season goes along; but when Crawford was healthy, Hawks' head coach Joel Quenneville was going Crawford even in the back-to-back scenarios. Raanta has a 5-2 mark with a 2.01 goals against average (GAA) and a .938 save percentage this season.
