Predators, Mike Fisher could start contract talks soon

The Nashville Predators and Mike Fisher may start talking contract soon, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman said on Saturday night's 'headlines' segment on Hockey Night in Canada.

"Mike Fisher recently returned to the Nashville Predators. He's a free agent after this season, you can expect soon that (the two sides) will sit down and talk about his future. Obviously he wants to stay."

Fisher, who returned to action November 27 from a ruptured Achilles, has two goals in nine games.

Fisher is making $4.2 million this season, according to capgeek, and will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
