Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Every Saturday, the Score recaps the top/worst performers in fantasy hockey.

The Good

Flyers F Jakub Voracek: 4 assists, plus-4, 6 shots on goal

  • Voracek's four assists Saturday propelled him to the top of the league leaders in NHL scoring. He now has 42 points. The Stars' Tyler Seguin came into tonight's action with 39 points.

Flyers F Claude Giroux: 2 goals, 2 assists, 4 shots on goal

  • Giroux scored for the first time in six games and looked dominant throughout the night.

Capitals F Alex Ovechkin: 1 goal, 5 shots on goal

Islanders G Jaroslav Halak: 18th win, 20 saves

  • Halak continued his great year, recording his 18th win on the season after a 20-save night against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Avalanche F Jarome Iginla: 3 assists

  • The Avalanche scored five goals against the Buffalo Sabres, and Iginla was in on three of them. He now has 21 points on the year.

Penguins F Nick Spaling: 1 goal, 1 assist

  • Spaling, owned in just one percent of Yahoo leagues, scored the first goal of the game, and assisted on Derrick Pouliot's first career goal. He now has six points in his last six games.

Canadiens F Max Pacioretty: 2 assists

  • Pacioretty rewarded owners with a two assist night after being game-time decision. He was  hospitalized Thursday following a Clayton Stoner hit .

Blue Jackets G Sergei Bobrovsky: 13th win, 39 saves

  • Bobrovsky stopped 39-of-41 shots against the Chicago Blackhawks for his 13th win on the season. He now owns a .944 save percentage for the month of December.

Wild F Zach Parise: 2 goals, 1 assist

  • Parise doubled his goal total for the month and had a three point night against the Predators.

Capitals G Braden Holtby: 14th win, 2nd shutout of season

  • Holtby recorded his second shutout on the season after a 21-save night against the New Jersey Devils. He now has wins in six of his last eight starts. He's a good candidate to trade for if you can.

Capitals F Nicklas Backstrom: 1 goal, 1 assist

  • Backstrom stayed hot on Saturdays - after a hat-trick last week - with a two point night against the Devils.

Canadiens F Brendan Gallagher: 1 goal

  • Gallagher scored his ninth on the season, and it turned out to be the game-winner against the Ottawa Senators.

Flames F Johnny Gaudreau: 1 goal

  • "Johnny Hockey" scored his seventh on the season after going three straight without one. Gaudreau is still just owned in 36 percent of Yahoo leagues.

Maple Leafs F Phil Kessel: 2 assists, minus-2, 2

  • With the two points tonight, Kessel now has points in five of his last six games.

Flyers F Sean Couturier: 1 goal, 1 assist

  • Couturier stayed hot, recording points in four of his last six games after netting two points tonight.

The Bad

Islanders F John Tavares: left game with injury

  • Injury scare for Tavares owners after he left the game late in the third with an apparent ear injury. He did score his 13th on the season with a third period goal. After the game, the team said he would be 'fine' after the incident.

Maple Leafs F Nazem Kadri / D Dion Phaneuf: Both minus-4

  • Kadri and Phaneuf both finished the night with a minus-4 rating. If your pool has that category this was one night to forget for the two.

Maple Leafs G Jonathan Bernier: 7 goals against

  • Bernier allowed three goals on 17 shots in the first period. He allowed two in the second and two more in the third before being pulled in favor of James Reimer.

Wild G Darcy Kuemper: 3 goals on 14 shots

  • Kuemper was pulled from his fourth game in his last five home starts after allowing three goals on 14 shots. Niklas Backstrom came in and made 27 saves on 30 shots, but took the loss in overtime. Proceed with caution with Kuemper for the next while.
