Chris Kunitz: (Foot) Expected To Play Saturday

Kunitz (foot) took part in Saturday's morning skate and is expected to play later in the evening against the Panthers, NHL.com's Wes Crosby reports.

Analysis:

Kunitz took part in line rushes and was also a participant in power-play drills, an indication the Penguins are treating him as if he'll be active Saturday. The team will still need to bring him back from injured reserve, but that appears to be just a formality at this point. Kunitz has been out since Nov. 29 with the fractured foot, missing eight games as a result.
