NHL Game Summary - Boston at Winnipeg

Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - Michael Hutchinson stopped 30 shots and the Winnipeg Jets held on for a 2-1 win over the Boston Bruins on Friday.

Evander Kane and Mathieu Perreault each posted a goal for the Jets, who have won their past two games.

"Real good goaltending," said Jets coach Paul Maurice. "Then just an awful lot of hard, scramble battles."

Torey Krug scored the only goal of the game for the Bruins, who have lost four of their last five. Tuukka Rask allowed both goals on 27 shots.

"We've talked about keeping things going and getting in a groove by getting a win tonight, but we didn't," said Rask.

The only goal of the first period went to Winnipeg as Grant Clitsome's shot from the high slot rang off a post and Kane was there to put the rebound behind Rask at 3:12.

Boston tied the game at 4:49 of the second on a 2-on-1 break that saw Carl Soderberg and Chris Kelly work the break and Krug finish it off by putting in the rebound for his sixth of the season.

With time winding down in the second period, the Jets took the lead back as a sequence in front of the Boston net saw the puck eventually get worked back to Dustin Byfuglien at the left point, and his blast was deflected by Rask to give Winnipeg the lead.

Boston did all it could in the third period to try and tie the game, throwing 16 shots on Hutchinson, but were unable to get any past before the game ended.
