Travis Hamonic hopes to help the New York Islanders maintain their winning ways.
Hamonic will be back in the lineup for Friday's game against the Detroit Red Wings, according to Arthur Staple of Newsday.
The hard-hitting defenseman has been out since Dec. 2 with an upper-body injury. The team went 3-3-0 in his absence, including a three-game losing streak.
Hamonic has three goals and three assists in 21 games.
