Analysis:
Schneider was given the night off Monday against the Islanders after two disastrous turns in a row against the Flyers and Stars, during which he surrendered a total of seven goals. Despite a sizable workload this season without Martin Brodeur behind him on the depth chart, Schneider hasn't made the most of the opportunity, providing a middling 2.61 GAA and .916 save percentage over 29 outings. He'll match up against Ottawa's Craig Anderson on Wednesday in a tilt between struggling goalies.
