Report: Jordan Staal could return from fractured fibula in the next 2 weeks

It could be a very happy New Year in Carolina.
Injured center Jordan Staal appears on track to return to the Carolina Hurricanes lineup in the next two weeks, according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA.
That timeline jives with the expected recovery period of three-to-four months following surgery to repair a fracture fibula back in late September.
Unfortunately for the Hurricanes, his return may not make much of a difference, as the club sits in last place in the NHL with 19 points in 30 games.
