The Nashville Predators were faced with an uncomfortable sight during Saturday's game in San Jose.

Captain and stalwart defenseman Shea Weber was forced to leave the contest against the Sharks in the second period following this awkward looking collision with Tye McGinn.

The Sharks' television broadcast team deftly caught this image of blood on Weber's right arm, suggesting he may have been clipped by McGinn's skate during the tumble.

Luckily for the Predators, Weber was able to return to the game before the end of the second period, presumably with a few stitches on his arm.

The high-powered right-handed shot has scored six goals in 28 games this season.
