Pastrnak saw 7:53 worth of ice time while skating 10 shifts in Monday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Penguins, the Boston Herald reports.

Analysis:

The 18-year-old rookie nearly picked up an assist on a nifty backhand pass that almost led to a Brad Marchand goal, while displaying good speed in his NHL debut. While the physical side of Pastrnak's game is a work in progress, he has the skills to develop into a dynamic contributor down the road. In the short term, we'd expect Pastrnak to head back to the AHL before too long, but for now it looks like he will stick around for some more practice time with the big club and perhaps suit up for Friday's game against the Jets.
