A pair of unlikely names have been honored alongside one of the National Hockey League's star players.

Vancouver Canucks right wing Jannik Hansen, Detroit Red Wings left wing Tomas Tatar and Dallas Stars left wing Jamie Benn have been named the NHL's Three Stars for the week ending Nov. 23, the league announced Monday.

Hansen led the NHL with five goals, posting his first career hat trick - including the game-winner - in a 4-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Nov. 23. The 28-year-old Dane scored in three straight games, including one shorthanded tally, and helped the club earn five of a possible six points.

Tatar recorded four goals (including two game-winners) and one assist in three games for the Red Wings, stretching his personal point streak to five games. He's now tied for the team lead in goals with nine.

Benn led all players with six points (three goals, three assists) to help his team win two of three games. He capped his week with a two-goal, one-assist performance in a big 5-4 victory over the Los Angeles Kings.
