Polak (ankle) will undergo an MRI on Sunday, but head coach Randy Carlyle expects the blueliner to be out a while, TSN's Mark Masters reports.

Analysis:

Polak has been one of the Leafs' best defenders this season, so this is an tough blow. Perhaps Sunday's MRI will reveal encouraging news, but Carlyle was not optimistic after the game.
