VIDEO: Maple Leafs' Bozak scores backhand goal on short-handed breakaway

Tyler Bozak caught the Detroit Red Wings sleeping on a power play early in the third period, putting the Toronto Maple Leafs in position to steal a victory Saturday.

Detroit controlled play at even-strength through the first two periods but couldn't turn that into an advantage on the scoreboard.

Maple Leafs defenseman Stephane Robidas was called for boarding 3:34 into the third, but the Red Wings were careless off the ensuing faceoff and Bozak stole the puck from Niklas Kronwall at Toronto's blue line for a breakaway. He made no mistake sending a backhand shot top shelf on Detroit netminder Jimmy Howard.

Bozak added an empty-net goal late in the period and Toronto finished with a 4-1 victory.
