Perron will take the place of the injured Benoit Pouliot (foot) on the top line for Edmonton, according to the Oilers' official site.

Analysis:

Pouliot is expected to miss at least a month's worth of action, so Perron will be the beneficiary and get bumped up to play with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle. Perron has been a bit of a disappointment this season after being very productive last year with Edmonton. Perhaps playing with more talented linemates will ignite his season.
