Andrew Shaw: (Upper Body) Ruled Out Thursday

Shaw has an upper-body injury and will miss Thursday's game against the Flames, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Shaw's absence comes as a surprise after he was able to practice a day earlier, seemingly reporting no injury complications. Coach Joel Quenneville wasn't able to shed much light on the exact nature of Shaw's injury or when it was sustained, but did say that it was "not serious." He should be labeled as questionable in advance of the Blackhawks' next game Saturday night in Edmonton.
