Paquette (lower body) will not play Thursday against the Maple Leafs, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis:

Paquette was on the ice for morning skate and doesn't look to be dealing with a significant injury, but the Bolts just wanted to take some extra precaution with him. Coach Jon Cooper said Paquette likely would have played Thursday had it been a playoff game, suggesting that the young forward might be viewed as a regular player at this point. He's been impressive in his 11 games with the Lightning, compiling five goals on 19 shot attempts. Look for him to be an option for Saturday's tilt with the Wild.
