Analysis:

Hedman is likely just trying to stay conditioned while he continues to miss extensive time due to the fractured finger, which he first suffered in an Oct. 18 game in Vancouver. The blueliner continues to wear a splint on his finger and has yet to be cleared for shooting drills, so a return still isn't imminent at this time. The Bolts continue to project him to rejoin the team at some point in early December.
