NHL Game Summary - NY Islanders at Tampa Bay

Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Ben Bishop made 25 saves and five Tampa Bay Lightning players scored in a 5-2 win over the New York Islanders on Saturday.

The goals by Ryan Callahan, Valtteri Filppula, Cedric Paquette, Tyler Johnson and Radko Gudas helped Tampa Bay snap New York's five-game winning streak.

Callahan and Filppula each had an assist and Jason Garrison added two helpers for the Lightning, who halted a two-game skid and improved to 7-1-1 in their last nine.

They lead the NHL with 65 goals, including 39 in their last nine games.

Brock Nelson and Josh Bailey scored for the Islanders and Chad Johnson gave up all five Tampa Bay goals on 28 shots.

"We'll have to regroup and just try to do better," said Johnson.

New York was coming off 4-3 shootout win over Florida on Friday, during which its shutout streak was snapped after 193 minutes and 48 seconds. Its last loss prior to Saturday came Nov. 1 in San Jose.

The Lightning scored four unanswered goals after the Islanders took a 2-1 lead on Bailey's deflection 11:22 into the game.

Filppula tied it on a power play at 13:46 when he beat Chad Johnson top-shelf from the low right side off a nice feed from Steven Stamkos, and Paquette gave the Lightning the lead less than two minutes later on a wrister from the slot.

"We wanted to have a good first period and I thought we did that," said Callahan. "And it carried over into the second and third."

Tyler Johnson scored on a wrist shot 1:39 into the second period to make it 4-2 and Gudas capped the scoring with 4:26 remaining in the third period.

Earlier, Nelson opened the scoring 7:41 into the game on a wrister from the slot and Callahan tied it exactly a minute later with a rebound goal.
