Blues' Tarasenko scores following 1st NHL fight

Goal-scoring phenomenon Vladimir Tarasenko added fighting to his NHL résumé on Thursday.

The St. Louis Blues forward lost his composure after he was hit by Eric Nystrom in the second period against the Nashville Predators and responded by getting into a scuffle with Predators defenseman Ryan Ellis, earning the first fighting major of his NHL career.

Tarasenko resumed his offensive dominance of the league 3:32 after his fighting major expired, firing home a slick wrist shot for his 10th goal and 21st point of the season.

Tarasenko, who fought once during his time in the KHL, also assisted on T.J. Oshie's power-play goal in the first period, completing what some refer to as a "Gordie Howe hat trick."
