Edmonton Oilers goaltender Viktor Fasth is ready to return just over two weeks after suffering groin injury.

Fasth has been cleared to resume playing, the team announced on Wednesday night.

The netminder suffered the injury on Oct. 14 in a loss to the Los Angeles Kings and has not played since.

He returned to practice on Sunday and said at the time that he was relieved to find out the injury was less serious than originally expected.
