Sharks assign Tyler Kennedy to Worcester for conditioning stint

San Jose Sharks forward Tyler Kennedy is heading to the American Hockey League for a maximum two-week stint, according to David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News.

A dependable checker and prolific volume shooter, Kennedy is likely to slot into the Sharks lineup in a third- or fourth-line role. 

He is a pending unrestricted free agent signed to a contract that carries a $2.35-million cap hit.
