Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin scored goals and Marc-Andre Fleury stopped everything he saw as the Pittsburgh Penguins posted a 3-0 road victory over the Nashville Predators on Saturday night.
Here's what you need to know:
- The Predators suffered their first loss in regulation this season, falling to 5-1-2.
- Fleury had a fairly easy night, stopping 25 shots to preserve his first shutout of the season.
- Pittsburgh blocked seven shots in the first period, and 17 in the game.
- The Predators out-shot the Penguins 13-4 in the third period after being out-shot 12-4 in the second.
- The Penguins converted twice on the power play in the third period. Malkin scored on a tip-in early in the frame and Pascal Dupuis added another 5-on-4 marker when he scored on the backhand three minutes later.
