Analysis:

Bortuzzo alternated with Simon Despres on the Pens' third line at morning skate, and while he won't be available for Wednesday's game, he appears very close to a return. Coach Mike Johnston acknowledged that if Bortuzzo is able to get in a full practice Friday, he could be cleared to return to action Saturday versus the Predators.
