Mikhail Grabovski felt well enough for a twirl around the ice Tuesday.
The New York Islanders forward skated prior to the team's practice and remains day-to-day with a concussion, according to head coach Jack Capuano.
Grabovski left a game against the San Jose Sharks on Oct. 16 after a hit from John Scott. He was originally deemed clear and free of concussion-like symptoms, but his condition worsened the next day.
This skate signals he could be able to return to game action earlier than initially expected.
