Red Wings' Howard expected to be ready for Tuesday's game vs. Canadiens

Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard appears set to return from a groin injury that sidelined him over the weekend.

The club reassigned Petr Mrazek to the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday, according to Ansar Khan of MLive. Howard will likely fill that roster spot in advance of Tuesday's game against the Montreal Canadiens, but a starter has yet to be named.

In four appearances this season, Howard is 2-1-1 with a .934 save percentage.
