NHL Game Summary - Calgary at Winnipeg

Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - Mason Raymond scored one of Calgary's three second-period goals and the Flames defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-1 on Sunday night.

Dennis Wideman, Johnny Gaudreau and Raymond all tallied within a 6:42 span in the middle frame, while T.J. Brodie added a goal in the third for the Flames, who went 4-2 on their six-game road trip.

"Great second period. We came out strong, we came out with a great forecheck. We got a big power play goal," Calgary head coach Bob Hartley said.

Jonas Hiller stopped 34 shots in the victory.

Mark Scheifele had the lone goal for Winnipeg, which has dropped four straight games. Ondrej Pavelec made 25 saves in defeat.

"In that second period you have to find that confidence to stay up and stay aggressive," Winnipeg head coach Paul Maurice said.

Scheifele opened the scoring midway through the first before Wideman wristed a shot into the back of the net following a Winnipeg turnover to begin Calgary's second-period onslaught.

Gaudreau tucked his wraparound attempt inside the right post four minutes later on the power play, and Raymond rifled a left-circle wrister past the glove of Pavelec to make it 3-1.

Brodie's wrister 3:18 into the third capped the scoring.
