Stars place Nichushkin on injured reserve

The Dallas Stars will be waiting a little longer for forward Valeri Nichushkin to rejoin the lineup due to a hip and groin injury.

Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports the Stars have placed the forward on injured reserve and called up Jyrki Jokipakka, who will replace Patrik Nemeth on defense. Nemeth suffered an arm laceration in Saturday's loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.

Nichushkin played in the Stars' first two games and has not played since. He did not record any points in those games.
