McElhinney left Saturday's game against Ottawa with an undisclosed injury, the Columbus Dispatch's Shawn Mitchell reports.

Analysis:

McElhinney was hurt on a strange play in which Nick Foligno accidentally crashed his own goal and left McElhinney down on the ice on all fours. He was down for quite a while before eventually skating off on his own. The extent of the injury is unknown, but Sergei Bobrovksy will finish this one out for Columbus. McElhinney allowed two goals (including one on the play he was injured) on 16 shots before departing.
