Perreault will play left wing on the Jets' second line Sunday against Calgary, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Analysis:

Perreault had been serving as the Jets' third-line center, but didn't do much to catalyze that unit with only one point in four games. While that wouldn't normally warrant a promotion, the team's desire to get some better center play in their bottom six will indirectly benefit Perreault. He'll now get the opportunity to play alongside more offensively talented mates in Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler, filling the spot Evander Kane manned before suffering a knee injury in the Jets' first game.
