Pavelec will be between the pipes Friday against the Predators, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Analysis:

Pavelec has been steady in three appearances (two starts) for the Jets thus far, going 1-1-0 while saving 66 of 72 shot attempts (.917 save percentage). His mediocre career track record suggests his current level of play isn't sustainable, however, so there's strong odds his production declines from here. That being said, his standing as the team's No. 1 goalie doesn't appear to be in jeopardy, given backup Michael Hutchinson's immense struggles during the preseason and in his first start last weekend.
