VIDEO: Flyers' Giroux fakes Ducks' Andersen with backhand deke in shootout

Eric Hartline / USA Today

Claude Giroux is the top shootout option for the Philadelphia Flyers.

The 26-year-old team captain leads the Flyers in career shootout goals with 18, and converts over 40 percent of his attempts, so it was no surprise to see his number called in the second round of Tuesday's shootout against the Anaheim Ducks, and he didn't disappoint.

Giroux fooled Anaheim netminder Frederik Andersen with a slick backhand deke, getting Andersen to bite on a forehand move before flipping the puck over his outstretched pad.

Unfortunately for Giroux, Philadelphia would go on to lose the shootout in the fourth round, falling to 0-2-2 to start the season.
