The Minnesota Wild claimed defenseman Nate Prosser off waivers Thursday, after the defenseman was left exposed by the St. Louis Blues 24 hours earlier, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Prosser spent part of the past five seasons with the Wild, but signed a two-way deal with the Blues after Minnesota general manager Chuck Fletcher was unwilling to give him a one-way contract.

The defenseman played in all seven games of the Wild's first-round playoff victory over Colorado, and finished the season with two goals, six assists and 58 penalty minutes in a career-high 53 regular-season games.
