Klingberg (hip) was assigned to AHL Texas on Tuesday, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports.

Analysis:

Klingberg was limited for most of training camp with a hip injury, taking him out of the running to help fill the defense void left by Brenden Dillon, who remains away from the deal due to a contract dispute. It shouldn't be long before the former fifth-round draft pick returns to full health and plays regularly for AHL Texas, the reigning Calder Cup champs.
