Philadelphia Flyers star forward Claude Giroux will make his preseason debut Tuesday against the New York Rangers, and says he's "anxious to get started," according to Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Giroux suffered a lower-body injury during the first practice of training camp, but will now be able to appear in two exhibition games prior to the season opener against the Boston Bruins on Oct. 9.

Philadelphia's captain finished third in NHL scoring last season with 28 goals and 58 assists in 82 games.
