Analysis:

After signing as a free agent in July, Jokinen was seen as a possible candidate to center the team's second line, however so far in preseason, it looks like that role has gone to fellow free agent signee Derek Roy, who has been skating with Colin Wilson and Craig Smith. As of right now, we expect Jokinen to center the Preds' third line once the regular season begins.
