Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Peter Holland scored the game-winning goal in the fifth round of a shootout as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Buffalo Sabres 3-2 in preseason action Sunday.

Phil Kessel posted a goal and an assist and James van Riemsdyk scored for Toronto, which got 36 saves from Jonathan Bernier.

Mikhail Grigorenko and Nicolas Deslauriers lit the lamp for the Sabres. Andrey Makarov made 27 stops.
