"All signs are that he should be able to play for Monday's game," said coach Mike Johnston. "We'd like to get him into one of those (final two preseason games). He's right on the fine line of a couple days here or there." The Penguins are counting on Maatta as a top-four blueliner, but if he struggles early on then there's a chance the team might move him down in the pecking order.
