NHL Game Summary - Boston at Washington

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Troy Brouwer's shot with 2:12 played in overtime lifted Washington to a 5-4 victory over Boston in preseason action from Verizon Center.

Alex Ovechkin netted a pair of power-play goals, while Michael Latta and Liam O'Brien also lit the lamp once each for the Capitals.

Justin Peters earned the win by stopping 10-of-12 shots in the final 29-plus minutes. Philipp Grubauer left after allowing two goals on 11 shots in 33-plus minutes.

Seth Griffith tallied twice, Matt Fraser and Matt Lindblad once each for the Bruins. Niklas Svedberg went the distance and took the loss deapite 24 saves.
