San Jose Sharks general manager Doug Wilson announced the signing forward Nikolay Goldobin to an entry-level contract on Friday, as per the team's official website.

Goldobin was selected 27th overall by the club at the 2014 NHL Draft after ranking seventh in the Ontario Hockey League in total points last season (94) with 38 goals and 56 assists.

"Nikolay is a dynamic player with a high-end skill set and tremendous vision," said Wilson. "He's got great hockey sense which we feel will allow him to be successful."

The Russian is participating in San Jose's training camp, and recorded one goal and one assist in his first career NHL preseason game on Sept. 23 against the Vancouver Canucks.
