McCormick dropped the gloves 11 times last year, three in the preseason and eight during the regular season. He's a gritty player who thrives on physical play, but Nolan believes he can contribute more on the ice rather than sitting for five minutes in the box. McCormick was traded to the Wild but returned to Buffalo in the offseason with a three-year, $4.5 million deal. Fantasy-wise, McCormick's expected dip in fighting majors lessens his value with fewer penalty minutes to gain. His career high of eight goals came four years ago so he isn't really on the fantasy radar.
