Analysis:

It's not a big shocker considering how many spots were open and how deep the Sabres' pool of prospects is. Getting sent back to junior hockey isn't a big deal, but the second-round pick from 2013 heads back to Kitchener without an NHL contract even though fellow 2013 picks Rasmus Ristolainen, Nikita Zadorov and Nick Baptiste have all been signed. The raw power forward still has plenty to work on as he enters his final year of junior eligibility. It's a make-it-or-break-it year for the New York state native.
