Ducks sign Devante Smith-Pelly to 2-year, $1.6M contract

The Anaheim Ducks announced the signing of restricted free agent forward Devante Smith-Pelly to a two-year contract Tuesday.

The 22-year-old played in just 19 regular season games with the Ducks last season, scoring two goals and 10 points, but did feature in 12 postseason games, scoring five goals.
Since being selected in the second round of the 2010 NHL Draft, Smith-Pelly has been unable to carve out a permanent role with the big club.
