The New Jersey Devils have added a pair of veterans to their list of training camp invites, hoping to squeeze one last drop of productivity out of some old legs. Lou Lamoriello confirmed Saturday that Ruslan Fedotenko and Jordin Tootoo will attend Devils training camp as unsigned tryouts.

The 35-year-old Fedotenko spent last season playing for Donbass in the Russian KHL, scoring seven goals and 10 assists in 46 games. He's played 863 NHL games and scored 366 points (173 goals, 193 assists) across 12 seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers, Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins, and New York Rangers.

"He's been working out. We've talked to him over the years. We had interest years ago," Lamoriello said to NJ.com. "He wanted to come. Maybe a contract didn't work out somewhere else. He will make our camp very competitive and give us three quality groups for practice."

The 31-year-old Tootoo will be looking to join his third NHL team. He played 11 games last season with the Detroit Red Wings, tallying one assist and five penalty minutes. In 539 career games, he's scored 49 goals and added 85 assists, while racking up 808 penalty minutes.

Fedotenko and Tootoo will join fellow veterans Tomas Kaberle and Scott Gomez as PTO hopefuls for what is shaping up to be a competitive Devils training camp.
