Clowe skated at the Devils' informal practice Thursday, noting he was "feeling pretty good" as he continues to recover from a season-ending concussion, Tom Gulitti of the Bergen Record reports.

Analysis:

Clowe hopes to receive clearance to return to the ice for full contact by the start of training camp, but he'll first have to visit a concussion specialist early next week before an official decision is made on his status. The 32-year-old has suffered three or four concussions over the last calendar year, which could make him more vulnerable than most to future head injuries if he returns to action too quickly. While Clowe did produce when he played last season (26 points in 43 games), the health risk he presents may make it worthwhile to steer clear of him on draft day.
