Moore signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with the Rangers on Wednesday, Larry Brooks of the New York Post reports.

Analysis:

Moore's 15 points in 74 games last season wouldn't seem to suggest an ascension to universal fantasy relevance is in order, but since he's still just 23 years old, some more growth could still exist in his game. He'll more than likely open the season as one of the Rangers' third-pairing rearguards, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him emerge as a top-four player on defense as the campaign wears on.
