While there has been speculation that the Bruins might deal Boychuk, he would prefer to remain with the team, the Boston Herald reports.

Analysis:

Boychuk, who is on track to become a free agent after the coming season, carries a cap hit of $3,366,667 in 2014-15, and with the team dealing with salary cap issues, his name has been mentioned as a possible candidate to be dealt in order to free up some needed space under the cap. The rugged and hard-shooting Boychuk is coming off a 2013-14 season in which he recorded five goals and 23 points in 75 games, to go along with a plus-31 rating.
