VIDEO: Panther's Ekblad mic'd up at development camp

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

At the club's summer development camp back in July, the Florida Panthers got their first good look at defenseman Aaron Ekblad after selecting him first overall at the 2014 NHL Draft.

At the time, the 18-year-old said he was not going to rest on where he was drafted, and was prepared to put in the necessary work to improve as a player over the summer.

Ekblad was mic'd up during one particular practice session, where he can be seen accepting instruction during a skating drill while displaying a skill set and work ethic that lends evidence to the fact that may be ready to make the leap to the NHL as early as this season.
