Report: Blue Jackets agree to terms with Dana Tyrell on a two-way deal

The Columbus Blue Jackets reportedly added to their pool of forwards vying for a job at training camp.

A second round pick (47th overall) of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2007, Tyrell, along with defenseman Matt Taormina, was acquired by the Blue Jackets from the Lightning in exchange for wingers Jonathan Marchessault and Dalton Smith.

In 63 games split between Syracuse and Springfield of the AHL in 2013-14, the 25-year-old centerman had 15 goals and 18 assists for 33 points, while being held off the score sheet during his brief seven game stint in the NHL.
