Nelson Emerson - a former NHL forward and current member of the Los Angeles Kings player development staff - brought the Stanley Cup to his hometown of Waterford, Ontario, on Tuesday; as Canadians are wont to do, he made a pit stop at the local Tim Horton's.

He even treated soon-to-be Hall of Fame member Rob Blake to a coffee.

Emerson has worked for the Kings for the past six seasons, playing a part in the selection and nurturing of key draft picks over the years. "I get to follow [them] from 18 when they’re drafted and watch them grow, to watch them follow their dream and get the Cup," Emerson said, via NHL.com. "You feel part of it.”

Word is Emerson attempted to roll up the rim on the Cup but got the old "please try again." Based on how things are going for the Kings these days, another double double isn't out of the question next summer.
