The Columbus Blue Jackets signed forward Corey Tropp to a two-year contract extension, general manager Jarmo Kekalainen  announced Monday.

The 24-year-old appeared in 44 games for Columbus in 2013-14, recording two goals, eight assists, 37 penalty minutes and a team-high plus-11 rating.

One of those goals was actually pretty amazing.

Tropp was originally drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the third round of the 2007 NHL Draft. In 87 career games, he scored five goals to go along with 14 assists and 57 penalty minutes.
